Maggie's Centres are warm, friendly, informal places, full of light and open space with a kitchen at their heart. They provide a bridge to the stress of dealing with hospital appointments and treatment. The also provide a refuge, a peaceful space to absorb the information that you're inevitably bombarded with and help to relieve the distress of having cancer.
Fleet Alliance Jumps for Maggies

Imagine Standing at the edge of an open doorway on an aircraft flying at 10,000 feet. All you can hear is the deafening roar of engines. Below, all you can see are drifting clouds and
further yet, a hazy patchwork of fields.
Now imagine leaning forward and letting go...
This is what an all-female daredevil team from Fleet Alliance will be facing on Saturday 27th August 2011 when Hayley McGhie, Lauren Sallows, Jenny McRobb, Leigh Meldrum and Laura McKechnie jump out of a perfectly good plane in aid of Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres.
The team will be performing tandem jumps strapped to fully qualified professionals (fingers crossed for hotties), however Laura will be braving the skies alone in a static line solo jump!
We all have our own personal reasons for supporting this amazing charity and we all know someone who has been affected by cancer.
We need all the support we can get in raising as much as possible for Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres - as soon as you make your donation, Maggie's can start putting it to good use.
