Please sponsor me for my Charity Trek in China, or better still, join me at one of my charity events ( See below for details!) to raise money for Have a Heart.
For those of you who know me you will not be suprised to hear that I am off challenging myself again. For a long time it has been my ambition to walk the Great Wall of China and what better reason to do it than for charity?
Why now? Because the fab people at Heart FM have organised this Trek China 2010 trip to raise money for 'Have a Heart'.
Have a Heart focus on building a better future for the children living in our communities, those who are vulnerable, face adversity, are living with an illness or are deprived of the childhood that every young person deserves.
Fortunately my 2 children have a dad who is taking time off work so I can go on this challenge!! (Thank you Neil!)
Meanwhile, I will be walking 120km with a group of 50, for 10 days, along the Great Wall of China from Huangyaguan to Mutianyu - which is over some very inhospitable terrain.
All I am asking is for you to support me by sponsering me to achieve my fundraising target. Alternatively, please come along to one of my charity events to help me raise money whilst having a really fun time!
8th November - Charity Talent Contest and Auction at Kennet School, Thatcham. 1.30-5pm. Hosted by Keith Chegwin!!! THIS EVENT RAISED £941.50 FOR HAVE A HEART!!! Thank you to all who took part, helped, donated prizes and came to watch!
6th December- Charity Christmas Craft & Gift Fair ( Main Hall) and Childrens Nearly New Sale (in the back hall), Thatcham Parish Hall, Chapel Street, Thatcham 3.30-6.30pm. Donation entry. Lots of stalls coming - unique gifts, toys, books, jewellery, make-up, decorations ...Children's toy & equipment stall... Silent Christmas Hamper & Gift Auction...refreshments available!
