The Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading care and research charity for people with dementia and those who care for them. It provides information and support, runs quality care services, funds research, advises professionals and campaigns for improved health and social care and greater public understanding and awareness of dementia.

STARS (Syncope Trust And Reflex anoxic Seizures) was established in 1993 by Trudie Lobban, after her own daughter was diagnosed with Reflex Anoxic Seizures (RAS). We raise public and professional awareness of unexplained loss of consciousness including syncope and RAS. To date we have created a better support system for existing patients, and improved knowledge and understanding for those who carers and for potential sufferers.
