South Africa’s amazing coast line and wine garden are the setting for this fantastic charity cycle challenge! Discover beautiful scenery, picturesque beaches and rugged coast line all from the saddle. Day 1
Depart London for Cape Town.

Day 2
Cape Town: Arrive in Cape Town and transfer to our hotel for that evening.

Day 3
Cape Town to Storms River: Warm up leg of the challenge cycling to Storms River mouth and the Big Tree situated in the indigenous Tsitsikamma Forest.

Day 4
Storms River to Knysna: Full day of cycling takes us into Tsitsikamma Forest.

Day 5
Knysna to Mossel Bay: Pass over the gently sloped Outeniqua Pass into the town of Mossel Bay.

Day 6
Mossel Bay to Oudtshoorn: We climb the Robinson Pass and finish in Oudtshoorn which is known as the ostrich capital of the world.

Day 7
Oudtshoorn to Simons Town: Continuing along the worlds longest wine route to Simons Town.

Day 8
Simons Town to Cape Town: Final day of cycling heading along the Indian Ocean south to look at a penguin colony.

Day 9
Cape Town: Guided city centre walk including entry to the Castle of Good Hope and then a hike up Table Mountain with the cable car down.

Day 10
Depart Cape Town and head back to the UK

Is the trip for me?

Definitely! This trip is suitable for people of all ages. The one thing everyone has in common is a sense of adventure and the desire to do something challenging for a great cause! How fit do I need to be?

People from all walks of life will take part in this challenge and most people will be exactly like you. But it's vital that you train so that you get he most out of the cycle. We will send you a suggested training plan and are on hand to help you with your training tips.

How much do I have to raise?

£3,600 (tbc)

Will I be able to raise the sponsorship level?

YES! Once you have started you will find that raising the minimum sponsorship is easy and most importantly fun! We will provide you with a breakdown of examples of how to raise the sponsorship money in an enjoyable way and we will of course be available every day to help you with more ideas! You are doing something quite simply amazing so make sure you tell everyone you know, and before you know it you will be racing towards your fundraising target!

£349

Can I extend my trip?

Yes! For a nominal administration fee your flight can be extended (subject to availability). This will give you the opportunity to discover more of this amazing country independently.

Will you help me?

YES! One of our highly experienced tour reps will be on hand to help you in the lead up to the event. You will be sent a full confirmation pack shortly after you register on the event which will give you all the information you need but we are always here to make the event as enjoyable and hassle free as possible! And there will even be the opportunity to meet your fellow participants at a special gathering before the event!

What is the food like?

You'll enjoy tasty local dishes such as rice, chicken & pork plus lots of coffee! Vegetarian diets can be catered for.

What do I need to bring?

No specialist kit is required though you will need to bring a sleeping bag and of course your own comfortable walking boots. We'll send you a full packing list when you register.

What will happen to my luggage during cycling days?

Your bags will be carried either in one of the vehicles or by horses. Youll just need to carry a daypack which will have all your essentials for the day!

How many people can take part?

The average group size is about 40 people although this does vary considerably from trip to trip.

What type of accommodation will I be staying in?

Hotels either side of the cycle, and tents during the cycle.

What's included in the cost?

Flights and all internal travel, accommodation, all meals on cycling days, water, refreshments, guides, a doctor and medical support

Is there an age restriction?

You will need to be over 18 but there is no upper age limit. If you are over 65 will just need to get a medical form signed by your doctor.

What about insurance?

You must have travel insurance cover in order to participate in this challenge. You can either arrange this yourself (as long as your insurance company is aware of the nature of what you are doing and that it is a charity event) or we can help you arrange this.
